Marsala
Is an Italian fortified wine made near Marsala in the western part of Sicily. In 1773, this wine was "discovered" by English commercial traveller John Woodhouse.
The wine is made from white and/or blue grapes. Main grape varieties are: 'Grillo', 'Catarrato', 'Inzolia', 'Damaschino', 'Pignatello' and 'Nero d'Avola'.
