Tonnellerie de Cognac has a strong background in the Cognac region and produces high quality oak casks for the cognac spirit industry. But looking to the future, we want to evolve our brand to bring our skills and vision to the global spirits market.

Heritage

Tonellerie de Cognac was established in a traditional form to meet the needs of the Cognac spirits industry. We built new high quality cognac casks and supplied refurbished, already used casks to local cognac houses, making a name for ourselves with good quality and reliability. We have a strong brand in the Cognac region and are really good at what we do! Our craftsmen are experienced in all the traditional skills and the French barrel making know-how known all over the world. We are steeped in tradition and heritage, but have our eyes wide open to possibilities in the future.

Young dynamics

Times change and so do we with a young and dynamic team. Tonnellerie de Cognac has seen an explosion of interest in the spirits market and we are ready to be a part of it! It’s an exciting time, with new spirit brands emerging and established brands breaking new ground or reviving old favourites. We know we have the right team and skills to put us in the middle of this spirits revolution. We are transferring everything we have learned in the cognac industry and bringing our skills and considerable experience to a new generation of spirits.

Building the future

We have moved our operations to new premises and invested heavily in equipment, putting us in a strong position to continue with new customers. New partnerships are emerging and we are thinking globally rather than regionally.
We have also greatly expanded our inventory and processing facilities for used casks as they are just as important for maturing new types of spirits. Imagine: gin aged in rum barrels or tequila in cognac barrels! With our vast network of suppliers and partners, we can provide what our customers need, repair and refurbish quickly and ship worldwide. We also specialize in large barrels.

From the heart of France’s famous Cognac region, Tonnellerie de Cognac has years of experience in sourcing and supplying pre-used European spirits maturing barrels (and from other regions worldwide). There is always a wide range of used drums in stock and we can draw on an extensive network of partners to quickly find the drums you need. Whatever you need, we can find it for you!
