Monbazillac
Quite similar to Sauternes (noble rot also plays an important role here) but less popular or expensive, Monbazillac AOC in south-west France, produces a sweet white wine with a golden colour, normally unctuous in character with soft notes of honey.

Taste
The sweet Monbazillac wines are strongly reminiscent of Sauternes. The barrels from Bergerac in south-western France impress with their fruity-sweet, full-bodied aroma with slight notes of Muscat.
